Wednesday Evening GMRS Net

Our GMRS net takes place every Wednesday at 7:30 PM on the Downtown Mansfield “Bank” Repeater.

  • All licensed GMRS users are welcome to check in — no experience necessary!
  • Net control will call for stations to check in by call sign or open groupings.
  • Once Net control has completed each round of check-ins they will call for each check-in and they'll have a chance to share comments, updates, or simply say hello.
  • Check-ins are relayed to the Richland County ARES HAM net held at 8:00 PM on W8WE 146.94 Repeater via a HAM-GMRS liaison station.

This net is a great way to test your radio, meet other operators in the area, and stay informed. Whether you just want to say hello or you're new and listening in — you’re always welcome.

How to Participate

  1. Be on frequency a few minutes before 7:30 PM.
  2. Listen for net control and wait for your call sign group or open check-ins.
  3. Check in with your call sign and first name, and share anything you’d like — or just say “checking in, no traffic.”

If you’re unsure how to check in or need help, you can also just call out after the net — someone will be glad to assist.

More Nets Coming Soon?

As our group grows, we may add more scheduled nets or themed discussion nights. Have an idea? Reach out and let us know!
